In price category 1, the minimum charge for calls placed to Finland, the country of stay or other countries of price categories 1 and 2 is the charge for 30 sec. After this, per-second charging is applied. In the other price categories calls are charged for in periods of 30 seconds. In price categories 1 and 2, call reception is charged for in periods of 1 sec; in the other price categories the period is 30 sec. Receiving a text message is free of charge all over the world.
The prices apply to normal-rate calls and text messages, not to special-rate calls or messages to service numbers, for example.
Note that the price for calling a local service number abroad can vary between operators and the calls made will be charged according to the prices the local operator has informed Sonera about. Also the toll-free numbers offerd to the local customers abroad may not be free of charge for Sonera customers.
Sending a multimedia message from abroad is subject to a charge of 0.39/message and a data transmission charge of the price category that the operator concerned belongs to. Video calls made in a foreign country are subject to a call charge according to the price group + an additional video call charge of €1.2602/min. Video calls received in a foreign country are subject to a call reception charge according to the price group + an additional video call charge of €0.2621/min. The charging interval of the additional video call charge is 1 second.
